The maximum lift-to-drag ratio for an aircraft 13,6. Calculate the minimum glide angle and the maximum range measured along the ground covered by the airplane in a power-off glide that starts at an altitude of 10.000ft.

Ha un’efficienza di 13.6 e quindi, in volo planato, percorre al suolo la sua altezza x 13,6.
10000 ft corrispondono a 10000:6082 = 1.644 NM; quindi percorre al suolo 1.644 x 13,6 = 22.36 NM.
Applichiamo ora la vecchia e cara regola 1 a 60 e troviamo l’angolo di traiettoria:
22.4 : 1.644 = 60 : X; da cui X = 1.644x60/22.4 = 4.2. Angel
